Wanting to increase its reach and expand its business, the agency wanted a mobile application to simplify the process of bus ticket bookings and gain an edge over its competitors. The agency faced issues with confirmation delays and keeping a record of the bookings as they handled the booking manually, they approached Sque for a solution to solve these issues and to simplify the process of booking for their B2B agents.

The Solution

We developed a mobile application that helped the agency provide an instant booking confirmation to the clients/customers and helped maintain a digital record of the bookings. The application also helped the agency solve the issue of the overbooking of bus seats. The clients/customers could also select the preferred seats (aisle/window/women/special needs) that helped the agency provide its clients/customers with a better travel experience.

Through the application, the B2B agents could book seats for their customers. Upon registering with the agency, the B2B agents were provided with unique login credentials. Upon signing in, the agents could book the bus seats at a price lower than the published rates (set by Prime Tours depending upon the time of the year – high/low season).

This system worked on a top-up model where the contracted agents could transfer the desired amount to the agency- Prime Tours bank account and a credit equivalent to the deposit amount would then reflect in the agents’ profile as ‘Agent Balance’. Upon booking the seats, the total amount would be deducted from the agent balance.

Results

The mobile application helped the agency gain a stronghold in the industry.
