The client was struggling to compete with other online travel agencies that offered online booking services. They needed a platform that would enable them to accept bookings online and provide their users with a user-friendly platform to do the same. They approached us to create a platform that would enable them to improve their business and attract more customers.

The Solution

We provided the agency with a complete travel solution to help them serve their clients/customers better and expand their reach. Once registered, the agency’s travel partners(both local and international) could book hotels, attraction tickets, transfers, and request for visa applications to be processed, through this B2B website. The registered agents could also book umrah packages and international tour packages through the website. Once the desired products are added to the cart, the agents must add the lead passenger details- name, contact number, and email and can then checkout by either using their credit balance or by paying through a credit card(Payment Gateway).
To top-up their credit balance, the registered agents must transfer the desired amount to the agency - Desert Link Travels bank account, and credit equivalent to the deposit amount would then reflect in the agents’ profile as ‘Agent Balance’. Upon checkout, the total amount would be deducted from the agent balance. The agent then receives a confirmation email on the registered email with tickets/booking confirmation attached(.pdf file). The agent can also choose to share the tickets/booking confirmation directly with the client upon check-out. A copy of the same is sent to the customer's email address without the price/fare.

Results

The travel company saw a 50% increase in online bookings within the first 6 months of launching the platform. The average booking value increased by 25% due to the ease of use of the new platform and the improved customer experience. The time taken to process bookings was reduced by 30%, leading to increased efficiency and improved customer satisfaction.
